He was loved and cherished by many people including: his daughter Cindy Soileau (Bryan) of Maurice; his granddaughters, Amanda Duhon, Amber LeBlanc, Danielle Hotard, Emily Hebert and Megan LeBlanc; his father Gilbert Dutel of Lafayette; his wife Verline Dubois Bernard of Lafayette; his children, Barry Bernard (Stephanie) of Broussard, Robie Bernard (Lisa) of Carencro, Kevin Bernard (Catherine) of Mire, Juliette Rice (Dennis) of Youngsville, Beth LeBlanc (Bryan) of Youngsville and Cathy Bernard of Lafayette; his sister Marie Louise Devenport of Dallas, TX; his mother Juanita; and his siblings, Francis Bernard, Harold Bernard, Juanita Bourg and Margie Buisson. He was also cherished by 20 grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren and numerous dear nieces, nephews and friends.
