It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Gerald Dugas of Acadiana, Louisiana, born in Napoleonville, Louisiana, who passed away on December 12, 2022, at the age of 84, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Felix Dugas and Anna Dugas; and his siblings, Edward Dugas, Dot Valenziano, Alice Ledet and Patricia Dugas.
He is survived by: his wife Faye Judice Dugas of Lafayette; his children, Daniel P. Dugas and Laura Hebert (family: Anna LeBlanc, Mona Thibodeaux, Daina Gaspard, Devie Harrison, Dion Gaspard); his grandchildren, Taylor of Lafayette, LA, Brandon of Lafayette, LA, Connor Dugas of Lafayette, LA, Kayla Stoulig (Chad) of Lafayette, LA, Grant Harrison (RaCayle) of Waller, TX, Tyler LeBlanc (McKenzie) of Youngsville, LA, Erin Harrison Toth (Josh) of Waller, TX and Alexandra LeBlanc (Lindsey Benoit) of Duson, LA; his great grandchildren, Jaden, Jolie Toth, Beckett, Griffin Harrison, Nora LeBlanc and Capri Henderson; and his sister Phyllis Dugas of Houma, LA. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, and dear friends.
In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made in memory of Gerald "Jerry" Dugas to Acadiana's Hope for a Cure Society, http://www.acadianahope.com. Jerry donated his body to science.
