With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Darrell Paul Broussard of Acadiana, Louisiana, born in Abbeville, Louisiana, who passed away on January 12, 2023 at the age of 64. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Clifton O'Brien and Carrol Ann O'Brien; his son Darrell Broussard, Jr.; his grandparents, Charlie, Anna Joseph Broussard, Rayward and Berneda Hardy O'Brien; his aunts and uncles, Clopha Broussard, Sidney Broussard, Neil O'Brien, Danny O'Brien, Nettie B. Ozone, Mary Louise Stevens, Brenda O. Shelvin and Lydia Bernard; his siblings-in-law, Donald Ray Levy, Sr. and Juanita Broussard; and his cousins, Kimberly O'Brien, Barbara Ozone, Patrick Sinegal and Johnny Sinegal.
He is survived by: his daughter Maili Stevenson (Hunter) of Youngsville; his wife Janice Broussard of Lafayette; his stepchildren, Azia Adams of Lafayette, Vanessa Barquet of Houma, Virginia Campbell of Lafayette, Chuck Trotter of Lafayette and Emmanuel Campbell of Abbeville; his siblings, Kevin Broussard of Kaplan, Clifton Broussard, Jr. (Marilyn) of Kinston, Dexter Broussard of Lafayette, Marcus Broussard of Dallas, Texas, Tonia Frances (John) of Lafayette, Pamela Derouen (Nathan) of Delcambre, Phyllis Vallian (Gil) of New Iberia, Anita Broussard Levy of Abbeville and Erica James of New Orleans; his grandchildren, Cora Joanis (Kyle Faul) of Lafayette, Ashton Meade (Alexis Deese) of Lafayette and Jhenneil Broussard of Roanoke, Virginia; and his close friend Louise Briggs of Abbeville. He is also survived by five aunts and six uncles, as well as a host of nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.
