He was predeceased by: his parents, Rene' Sonnier and Eloge Broussard Sonnier; and his siblings, Roy Sonnier, Melba Guidry, Irene Baudoin and Mildred Doucet.
He is survived by: his wife Merline Duhon Sonnier of Judice; and his children, Jennifer Ann Sonnier of Chesterfield, VA, Lynda Kathryn Sonnier Cavalier of Scott, Gregory Sonnier of Maurice and Jared Dale Sonnier of Judice. He is also survived by five grandchildren and five great-grandchildren as well as numerous dear nieces, nephews and friends.
