Alice Meaux Pierre Obituary

She was predeceased by: her husband Abbie "Captain Abbie" Anthony Pierre; her parents, Alcide Meaux and Aleta Marie Saltzman Meaux; her daughters, Nola Navarre and Linda Navarre; her stepsons, Darrell Paul Pierre and Antoine Pierre; and her brothers, Lloyd Meaux, Dalton Meaux, Eli Meaux and Yoland Meaux.
She is survived by: her grandsons, David Foote, Jr. (Sharon) of Maurice, LA and Byron Foote (Tammy) of New Iberia, LA; and her stepdaughters, Janice Trachsel (John) of Lafayette, LA, Sheila Cooley (Brett) of Lafayette, LA, Darlene Hinton (Harlon) of New Augusta, MS and Charlene Pierre Farrar (Dale Lopez) of Scott, LA. She is also survived by 19 step-grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; 26 step-great-grandchildren; 15 step-great-great grandchildren and numerous dear nieces, nephews and friends.
Over the years, she donated numerous handmade gowns and blankets to the Hospice of Acadiana and was awarded Volunteer of the Year for her continuous service.
