He is survived by: his son Wayne Michael Smith, Jr. (Aimee Latuso Smith); his grandson Kyler Jackson Smith; and his siblings, Linda Ann Smith, Victor Ray Smith, Jr. (Vickie Canepa Smith) and David J. Smith, Sr. (Cheryl C. Smith). He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to St. Margaret Mary Church in Slidell, Louisiana.
