The memory of Leona Peter Hopkins of Abbeville, Louisiana, who passed away on April 19, 2025 at the age of 92, will forever remain in the hearts of those touched by this precious presence in their lives. She was predeceased by: her parents, Elnora Levy and Warren Peter; her siblings, Warren Peter Jr., Oliver Peter, Lucian Peter, Ivory Peter, Elvie Brown, Donella Jones and Velma Peter; her son Perry Lege; and her caregivers, Stephanie Williams, Miecheal Doucette, Melanie Leblanc and Hope of Hospice.
She is survived by: her sons, Alexander Joiner, Jr. (Rosemary), Gregory Lege (Hope) and Darrin Lege (Stephanie Williams). She is also survived by six grandchildren; and thirteen great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Thursday, April 24th 2025 from 8:00 AM to 12:45 PM at the Vincent Funeral Home - Abbeville (209 S St Charles St, Abbeville, LA 70510). A rosary was held on Thursday, April 24th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the same location. A Mass was held on Thursday, April 24th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the St. Mary Magdelen Church (300 Pere Megret St, Abbeville, LA 70510).
