With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of James Charles Barron of Abbeville, Louisiana, born in Belzoni, Mississippi, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on September 27, 2024 at the age of 79. He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Enos Barron and Daisy Florie Roff Barron. He is survived by: his wife Dorothy Burrell Barron of Lafayette; his daughters, Donna Reynolds (Michael) of Abbeville, LA and Monica Gillespie (Shane) of Williamsport, PA; his grandchildren, Ashley Callaway (Marcus), Barron Gillespie, Rowan Reynolds, Emma Reynolds and AnnaKate Gillespie; and his caregivers, Wendy Cole and Mildred Davis.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, October 1st 2024 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the David Funeral Home of Abbeville Tuesday (2600 Charity St, Abbeville, LA 70510). A memorial service was held on Tuesday, October 1st 2024 at 6:30 PM at the same location.
