He was predeceased by: his parents, Clyde Warren Choate and Mary Bruno; his siblings, Betty Jean Choate, Clyde "Rand" Choate and Billy Joe Choate; and his nephew Bud Suire.
He is survived by: his wife Cheryl Choate; his children, Dirk Byron Choate (Jada) of Abbeville, Cliff Reed Choate (Carrie) of Winnie, TX, Angela Deshotel (Billy) of Henry and Regina Choate; his grandchildren, Noelle, Rylee, Jaxon, Miranda, Dustin, Tristen, Carlie, Johnathon and Dalton; his great grandchild Ella; and his siblings, Casey Choate (Cheryl) of Pecan Island and Gwen Hutchinson (George) of Pecan Island.
Visitation was held on Saturday, November 2nd 2024 from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Vincent Funeral Home (209 S St Charles St, Abbeville, LA 70510). A rosary was held on Saturday, November 2nd 2024 at 12:30 PM at the same location. A funeral service was held on Saturday, November 2nd 2024 from 1:00 PM to 1:30 PM at the same location.
