He was predeceased by: his parents, Hubert Nolan Sassard and Thelma Terry Sassard. He is survived by: his children, Cynthia Byrd of Louisville, Nine, Theresa Dawn Adwell of Louisville, Nine and Jonathan Emery Byrd (Audrey) of Louisville, Nine; his siblings, Nancy Allen of Holder, FL, Nolan David Sassard (Gloria) of Crystal River, FL, Tommie Sassard (Ray) of Crystal River, FL and Lester Sassard (Lauri) of Hinesville, GA; and his fiancée Daphne Lamb. He is also survived by Nine Grandchildren, Ten Great Grandchildren.
