Though Phyllis Elaine may no longer walk beside us, her memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those Phyllis Elaine touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In her absence, her spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Burl C. Tiffey and Opal Tiby Filkins; and her brothers, Dale Tiffey, Richard Filkins and Ronald Filkins.
She is survived by: her stepfather Winfield Filkins; her niece Rachael Turner (Justin) of Bellefonte; her great-nephews, Wyatt and Garrett Turner; and her sisters-in-law, Kathleen Filkins (late Ron) and Linda Filkins (late Richard). She is also survived by extended family members and dear friends.
Visitation was held on Saturday, January 25th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Steen Funeral Homes - Central Ave Chapel (1501 Central Ave, Ashland, KY 41101). A memorial service was held on Saturday, January 25th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
