He was predeceased by: his parent Harry, Sr.; and his siblings, Betty Jane Keech, Harry Jr., Alton Overton and Eddie Overton.
He is survived by: his parent Betty Skinner Overton; his wife Helen Jones Overton; his son Elmer Lee Overton, Jr.; his wife Tammy Overton; his grandson Ryan Lee Overton (Logan) of Edenton; his siblings, Sallie O. Hare of Edenton, Shelby O. Hopkins of Renton, Nell O. Seymour of Elizabeth City, Helen O. Hunter of Hertford, Bobby Overton of Wurtland, KY and Carl Overton of Hampton, VA.; and also Bradley Erie Overton (Renee).
