It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Geneva Oakes Fortner of Worthville, Kentucky, who passed away on June 20, 2021, at the age of 86, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Nathaniel "Babe" Oakes and Atha Duvall Oakes; her son John Fortner (Amber); her grandchildren, Tyler (Hannah), Matthew, Wade and Kaylee; her great grandchildren, Jolynn Marie and Jonathan Landon; her siblings, Nathan Oakes, Hope Oakes and Dorothy Oakes; and her nephew Dudley Oakes.
