He was predeceased by: his parents, Walter "Red" Maggard and Mattie Porter Maggard; his wife Elma Gay Pennington Maggard; his daughter Karen Sue Maggard Mayo; and his siblings, Homer, Frank, Leo, Bobby Gene, Harold, Carroll and Joanne Cox.
He is survived by: his daughter Patricia Lewis (Newt); his grandchildren, Corey Maggard (Tonia) and Sophie Looney (Zach); and his great grandchildren, Luke Fischer, Harlan Maggard and Addy Maggard.
Visitation was held on Thursday, April 17th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM at the Malone Funeral Home (325 Malone Ln, Grayson, KY 41143). A funeral service was held on Thursday, April 17th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be sent to Community Hospice Ashland, Kentucky.
