He was predeceased by: his father Sam Bergan Graves; and his siblings, Ed "Monkey" Graves, Albert Graves, Margaret Dillard, Joyce Freeman, Nancy Redferrin, Thomas Graves, Baby Graves and Jewell Mathenly.

He is survived by: his son Jason Graves of Franklin, KY; his siblings, Wayne Graves of Cross Plains, TN, Mary Jane Anderson (Charles) of Franklin, KY and Janette Eaton (Alton) of Franklin, KY; and his grandchildren, Hannah Graves and Bryson Graves.
