He was predeceased by: his parents, Willard Wheet and Bonnie Willoughby Wheet; his wife Dolly Elizabeth Wheet; and his brother Floyd Wheet. He is survived by: his sons, Mike Wheet (Teresa) of Rockfield, KY and Joe Wheet, Jr. (Jen) of Colorado; his sister Bettie Dawsey of Bowling Green; and his grandchildren, Nick, Phillip, Jamie and Ryan. He is also survived by 7 great grandchildren.
