He was predeceased by: his mother Lily Sawyers; his brother Maven Sawyers; his mother Viola Smith; and his aunt Christine Root. He is survived by: his sons, Jordan Sawyers and Philip Burchette; his siblings, Mayetta Beaumont (Terry), Cleta Gross (Jimmy), Karen Lindsey, Junior Sawyers (Faith) and George Smith; his cousins, Star Smith, Ginger Smith, Ranee Anderson, Cyndy Hart, Bridgette Smith, Jim Smith, Mike Smith, Steve Bargo, Rick Bargo (Betty), Sandra Hutson, Heather Hilliard, Kelly Lowe, Sylvia Smith, Michelle Weston, Tina Shelton, Betty Wilson, Monica and Michael Sawyers; and his friend Anthony Phipps.
