He was predeceased by: his parents, Wilburn "Curly" Butcher and Fannie Lois VanHoose Butcher; and his son Don Allen Butcher. He is survived by: his sons, James Butcher and Jonathan Ray Butcher of Offutt, Kentucky; and his brothers, Larry Butcher of Wittensville and Michael Butcher of Cary. He is also survived by six grandchildren.
