He was predeceased by: his parents, Bennie Valen and Mary Lou Sorrell Spencer; and his siblings, Lonnie Spencer, Ansel Spencer, Jackie Spencer and Katherine Spencer Williams.
He is survived by: his sons, Terry Wayne Spencer of Lexington, KY and Johnny Dale Spencer (Rosa) of Jeffersonville, KY; his siblings, J. B. Spencer of Ezel, KY and Arlene Williams of Menifee County, KY; and his stepgrandchildren, Brian Ward (Lisa) of Winchester, KY, Gregory Ward of Salyersville, KY and Renee Brewer of Salyersville, KY.
