He was predeceased by: his parents, Dr. Robert Edward Strode and Evelyn Garrard Strode; and his daughter Marlow Strode Rodriguez. He is survived by: his daughters, Baird Strode Hicks, Meredith Strode Merlo (Nestor) of Dallas, TX and Shelby Strode Crosson (Adam) of Florence, SC; his brother Robert Garrard Strode of Winchester; his grandchildren, McKenzie Strode Hicks, William Brantley Hicks, Evelyn Simone Rodriguez, Katherine Rice Crosson, Laura McDowell Crosson and Camille Strode Crosson; his cousin Richard Strode (Caryl) of Lexington; and his friend Katherine Williams Strode of Winchester.
