She was predeceased by: her parents, Nick Polifrone and Anna Polifrone of Benton, IL.; her husband Edward S. Gibala; and her sons, Nick and John.

She is survived by: her son Rocco Gibala (Elaine) of Winchester; and her close friends, Sheila Sullivan of Urbana and Carol Jo Morgan of Champaign. She is also survived by five grandchildren, numerous great grandchildren, great great grandchildren.
