He was predeceased by: his parents, Jim Griffett and Gladys Abner Griffett; his daughter Linda Fay Griffett; his stepdaughter Rhonda Patton; and his siblings, Blanch Hawkins, Alexander Griffett, Billy Griffett, Michael Griffett, Douglas Griffett and James Griffett.
He is survived by: his son Robert Wayne Griffett Jr. (Vivian Gayle); the mother of his child Brenda Faye Salyers; his stepson Michael Dale Patton; his grandchildren, Robby Dale Griffett, Brandon Ray Griffett and Reagan Tackett-Everhart; his great grandchild Nicholas Troy Griffett; his great great grandchildren, Jack Robert Griffett and Nicholas Scott Griffett; and his siblings, Danny Griffett, Lanny Griffett, Stevie Griffett and Rose Sharon Helton.
