He was predeceased by: his father Warren Birch; his siblings, Millard "Todie" Greene, Raymond Greene and Mary Frances Vest; and his sons-in-law, Arthur Lee Rainey and Marcus L. Epperson.
He is survived by: his wife Diane Hunt Greene; his children, Robin Rainey, Bobbi Epperson and Chuck Thompson (Aimee); his grandchildren, Hillary Rush (Joe), Taylor Tolle (Steven), Madison Epperson, Mack Thompson, Kiara Thompson and Tristan Thompson; his great grandchildren, Norah Tolle, Carter Tolle, Grayson Rush, Rainey Rush, Sutton Tolle and Owen Tolle; and his parents-in-law, Barbara Hunt (Rick Atkins), Bill Hunt (Wanda) and Jim Hunt (Cindy). He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
