She was predeceased by: her parents, Elbert Boyd and Nettie McCarty; her brothers, David French McCarty and Bobbie Arnold McCarty; and her husband Harold Wurtenberger.
She is survived by: her children, Kimberly "Mimi" Sparks (Kenny) of Winchester and Rick Carter (Lucy) of Moraga, California; her grandchildren, Colby Carter (Jennifer) of California, Luke Sparks (Sharae Boyd), Kendall Fletcher (Dustin) of Winchester and Kelsey Villarreal (Jacques) of Virginia; her great grandchildren, Noah, Layla, Aaliyah, Abel, Holden, Ryden and Leo; her sister Anna Boyd Rice; her close friend Donnie Estes; and also Bobbie Smith of Winchester.
