He was predeceased by: his parents, Ned Jr. Rains and Virginia Teater Rains; and his sister-in-law Carolyn Marcum. He is survived by: his wife Judy West Rains; his son Jeffery Todd Rains; his brother Odeal; his siblings-in-law, Patsy Isaacs and Orval Marcum; his nieces and nephews, Sherry, Steve Jenkins, Greg and Susan Harvey; his great-nephews, Justin and Josh; and his friend Caleb Roberts.
Visitation was held on Monday, March 31st 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Leon Pace Memorial Chapel. A funeral service was held on Monday, March 31st 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
