She was predeceased by: her husband John Frederick Gaither; her parents, Ealler Dykes and Ada Mae Pace Dykes; her sister Shirley Ann Dykes Finkbeiner; her stepdaughter-in-law Janet Gaither; her grandson Ian Hamilton Gaither; and her brother-in-law Finkbeiner.
She is survived by: her niece Martha Jean Finkbeiner Foster (Brice); her stepson John Gordon Gaither; her granddaughter Carole Diane Chevalier (Thomas); her great grandchildren, Emily Christine Ceresa and Scott Ceresa (Krista); and her great-niece Madeline Ann Foster.
