She was predeceased by: her siblings, Carolyn B. Gainer and Richard F. Gainer; her sons, Joseph P. Bordas and Richard W. Bordas; and her grandson Sean Bordas.

She is survived by: her children, James G. Bordas, Jr. (Linda) and Lori Bordas; and her grandchildren, Jamie Bordas (Stacey), Benjamin Bordas (Kim), Andrew Bordas (Kennington), Matthew Bordas (Karen), Joshua Bordas (Jessica), Ashley Smith (Chris), Lindsay Flynn (John), Brett Bordas (Britney), Jay Bordas (Meredith), Alison Bordas, Meredith Heppler (Nathan), Meaghan Spruill, Joe Bordas, Will Bordas, Morghan Pangraze (Alex) and Taylor Counts (Jordan). She is also survived by 34 great grandchildren.
