He was predeceased by: his parents, Lester Helsley, Sr. and Mary Ellen Allison Goode; and his children, Lester Calvin Helsley III, Tina Helsley, Rose Mary Bowling and Charles Alan Donathan.

He is survived by: his children, Darlene Wyatt (Gary), Tom Helsley, Ketha Cheeseman, Regina Hall (Lee), Thomas Donathan (Traci) and Michael David Donathan. He is also survived by several grandchildren, great grandchildren, extended family members and friends.
