She was predeceased by: her parents, Ellis Browning Sharp and Geneva Young Petrey; her stepfather Louis E. Petrey II; her brother Robert Ellis Sharp; and her husbands, Marvin Lynn Franklin and Charles Stephenson.
She is survived by: her brothers, William Thomas Sharp and Louis E. Petrey III; and her daughters, Judith Marnie Berryman, Melissa Jane Gronau and Melinda Lynn Thomas. She is also survived by three sons-in-law and six grandchildren.
