He was predeceased by: his parents, Bessie Cox Ashley and Silas Ashley; and his brothers, Silas Jr. Ashley, Linden Lee Ashley and Avery Wayne Ashley.
He is survived by: his wife Betty Beckham Ashley; his daughters, Debbie Turner Patterson (Greg) and Erin Ashley Short (Ryne); his grandchildren, Paige Patterson Broughton (Matt), Rhett Thomas Short and Charlotte Elizabeth Short; his great grandchildren, Bex Broughton and Baby B. Broughton; and his sister Shelby Jean Mullins. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Saturday, April 26th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Leon Pace Memorial Chapel. A funeral service was held on Saturday, April 26th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
