He was predeceased by: his parents, James M. Purcell and Goldie Mae Burton Purcell. He is survived by: his children, David Purcell (Deborah), Sophia Hurst and Dawn Caulfield (Richard); his brother Wayne Purcell (Mary); his nephew Mike Purcell (Amy); his great-nieces and great-nephews, Jackson and Kyndall; and his cousin Billy Allen Wagoner. He is also survived by five grandchildren; six great grandchildren.
