He was predeceased by: his parents, Flossie Thomson and Jilson Barnett; his wife Helen Reffitt; and his son Donald S. Barnett. He is survived by: his daughter Pamela Brinson of Hattiesburg, MS; his daughter-in-law Cynthia Blair Barnett of Ashland; his grandchildren, Cindy "Punkin" Barnett of Lexington, Steven Christopher Barnett of Florence, Rebecca Turner (David) of Hattiesburg, MS, Matthew Brinson (Heather) of Hattiesburg, MS, Jessica Brinson of Hattiesburg, MS and Hannah Brinson of Hattiesburg, MS; and his great grandchildren, Breanna Turner, Mycah Brinson, Hallie Brinson, James Turner and Macie Brinson.
