He was predeceased by: his father Doyle; and his siblings, Calvin Combs, Howard Combs, Vernetta Watts, Lovisa Taulbee and Helen Smith.
He is survived by: his wife Emma Caudill Combs; his children, Thomas Combs (Jada) and Dwayne Shuler (Stephanie); his grandchildren, Christopher Combs, MaKenzie Greathouse (Nicholas) and Javan Thomas; and his siblings, Jim Combs, Velma Bailey (Bobby) and Sondra Morgan (Richard).
