He was predeceased by: his siblings, Linda D. Toler and Jesse Dawson; and his niece Annessa Dawson Watkins. He is survived by: his children, Steve Dawson (Becky), Serena Cassidy (Kenny) and Scott Dawson (Tonya); his grandchildren, Erika Schlarb (Jonathan), Elijah Dawson (Visjna), Emanuel Wilson (Heather), Dewayne Cassidy, Chandler Dawson, Hunter Dawson, Conner Dawson and Logan Dawson; his sister Roberta Shimfessel (Danny); and his close friends, Sharon Fugate, Brian Fugate (Lisa) and Christopher Fugate. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
