He was predeceased by: his parents, Howard Hillard and Evelyn Bledsoe Hillard; and his siblings, Howard Hillard, Billy Hillard, Pauline Hillard and Virgie Hillard.

He is survived by: his siblings, Charles Hillard (Donna), Russell Hillard, Jerry Hillard, Raymond Hillard, Ruby Pearson and Irene Tate. He is also survived by Several nieces, nephews and cousins.
