He was predeceased by: his parents, Aden Gipson and Flora Caywood Gipson; his daughter Stephanie Lynn Gipson; his grandchild Markyle Bell; and his brother Troy Gipson.
He is survived by: his children, Tammy Lorene Gipson, Kimburly (Damion), Dena Lee Gipson and Clarence Detrick Gipson; his grandchildren, Cedrick Tate, Senneca Gay, Ashley Knowles, Preston Knowles, Tavon Lay, Anthony Lay II, Kierra Higgins, Kionna Higgins, Khalon Guy, India Isable and Jamila Conner; his great grandchildren, Keisuan Tate, Miyah Knowles, Cameron Knowles, Kayden Lair, Jaiden Higgins, Aria Vaughn, Saban Vaughn, Xuria Spence and Makeynna Lay; his siblings, Thelma Jean Patton (Courtney), Janice Gipson, Evelyn Hampton (Leslie), Cleve Gipson, Russell Gipson (Kathy), Nathaniel Gipson (Barbara), David Gipson and Josephine Hays (Paul); and his sister-in-law Betty Burgess (Harold). He is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
