He was predeceased by: his parents, Arthur Lyle and Hazel Stokley Crowe; and his daughter Michele Lyle. He is survived by: his son Aaron Lyle; his stepson Brian Crowe; his siblings, Larry, Jimmy Lyle, Almas Dunn (Willard), Sandi Reed (Gary), Joanie Hale (Steve), Donna Roberts (Mike), Sarah Gates, Lana Lyle and Lisa Reid; and his stepsister Glenda Walls. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
