He was predeceased by: his father Virgil May Whitaker; his former wife Minnie Jo Whitaker; and his siblings, James Whitaker and Virgie Hager. He is survived by: his children, Billy Whitaker (Shannon), Morris Whitaker, Victoria Puckett (Jeff), Angela Waldrop and Melissa Bright; his fiancée Beulah Horton; and his siblings, Ray Whitaker, Doris Adams, Mary Lyle Cartwright, Josh Lay, Lee Estepp and Robert Houp. He is also survived by nine grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren.
