He was predeceased by: his parents, Harold W. Pettit and Ruby Mains Pettit. He is survived by: his wife Marie Jones Pettit; his sisters, Romagene Henry (Marvin) of Dry Ridge, KY and Patricia Covey (Rick) of Williamstown, KY; and his close friend Lee Bailey (Amanda). He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
