She was predeceased by: her parents, Jennie Ellen Schappert and George William Peare, III; her husband Ernest James William Smith; and her siblings, Bob Peare, George Peare, IV, Patricia Grubbs and Jennie Tinnell.
She is survived by: her son Rick Smith (Josephine) of Port Charlotte, FL; and her grandchildren, Linette Smith, Christina Hamon (Roy), Benjamin Smith (Jasmine), Michelle Cayton (Mark) and William "Billy" Smith. She is also survived by 18 great grandchildren; and great great grandchildren.
