He is survived by: his wife Ella Sue Tucker-Rains of Williamsburg, Kentucky; his son Jerry Rains (Tracy) of Williamsburg, Kentucky; his stepchildren, Jennifer Sue Tucker (Kendall Curtis), Steven Tucker (Sally) of Georgetown, Brian Tucker (Angie) of Lawrenceburg, Jonathan Tucker of Paris and Robert Tucker of Georgetown, Kentucky; his grandchildren, Makayla Sears, Courtney Rains and Preston Rains; his great grandchildren, Maddison Sears, Lincoln Sears, Amandalyn Rains and Emberlynn Rains; and his siblings, Everett Rains of Emlyn, Kentucky, Delorse Thacker (Raymond) of Georgia, Opal Bolton of Covington and Clara Cox (Brascoe) of Lily Kentucky.
