He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Willard and Geneva Elizabeth Witt Adkins; and his siblings, Larry Gene Adkins, Bobby Wayne Adkins and Alice Mae Cox.
He is survived by: his wife Kate Adkins of Williamsburg, KY; his sons, Travis Lynn Adkins (Sarah) of Williamsburg, KY, Joshua Lee Adkins (Kayleigh) of Williamsburg, KY and Adam Christopher Adkins (Kayla) of Williamsburg, KY; his grandchildren, Owen Lynn Adkins, Jaxon Cade Adkins, Conner Allen Lee Adkins, Emory Elyse Adkins, Bentley Ray Adkins and Clara Andrea Adkins; his sister JoAnn Leach (George) of Williamsburg, KY; and his mother-in-law Jenny Martin of Williamsburg, KY.
