He is survived by: his wife Lois Shupe (Smith) of Williamsburg; his children, Gail Claxton, Walter (Bill) and Mike Shupe (Kendra); and his sister Deleva Brown (Jesse). He is also survived by Fifteen grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren, six great-great grandchildren.
