He is survived by: his wife Sharon Byers of Corbin; his daughter Rachel McNeil-Byers of Corbin; his stepsons, Robert Lee Askins (Samantha) of Williamsburg and Christopher Askins (Leah) of Tennessee; his grandchildren, Christopher Hale, Lillie Askins, Allyson Askins, Oscar Askins and David Askins; and his brothers, Jerry Byers (Molly) of Florida and Ronnie Byers of California.
