He was predeceased by: his father Jack Rains; his wife Zola Rains; his son Harold "Bo" Rains; and his brothers, Sam Rains and Gene Rains.
He is survived by: his children, Sharon Perkins (Wayne) of Williamsburg, KY and Curt Rains (Lois) of Dayton, OH; his grandchildren, Eric Rains (Pam), Jason Rains, Cody Perkins (Sarah) and Tess Perkins; his great grandchild Eric Rains, Jr.; and his brother James Rains (Shirley) of White Oak, NC. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, and a host of relatives and friends.
