She was predeceased by: her parents, Beckham Carpenter and Amanda Carpenter (Lawson); her husband Thomas Rooks; her daughter Cheryl Rooks; and her siblings, Ada Merritt, Reba Ramsey, Doris Carpenter, Otis Carpenter, Millard Carpenter, Doyle Carpenter and Merl Carpenter (ML).
She is survived by: her stepchildren, Darlene France and Thomas Rooks; her grandchildren, Julie Wilson (Shawn), Jessica Auterson (Stacey), Christopher Rooks, Tonya Rooks, Anthony Rooks, Jason Rooks, Jamie Rooks, Michael Rooks, Amanda Rooks and Amy Rooks; and her close friend Peggy Partin. She is also survived by great grandchildren.
