He was predeceased by: his parent Levi Lay; and his siblings, Eugene Lay, Romie Lay, Levi Lay Jr. and Mattie Lay.
He is survived by: his daughters, Krystle Lay of Williamsburg, Miranda Combs (Eric) of Nicholasville and Cassidy Withrow (Trent) of Williamsburg; his grandchildren, Logan Combs, Danny Combs and Denver Withrow; his mother Hattie Starrett of Holland; and his sisters, Retha Howard of Rockholds, Tammy Starrett of Phoenix, Nancy Engle (Ralph) of Melbourne, Linda Starrett of Holland and Thelma Murray of Williamsburg.
