He was predeceased by: his parents, Lewis Capps and Dora Capps (Cox); his wife Marlene Alice Capps; his son Jerry Capps; his grandson Jason Scott Capps; and his sister Sue Lynch.
He is survived by: his sons, James Capps (Wanda) of Williamsburg, Kentucky. and David Capps (Gladys) of Williamsburg, Kentucky.; his grandchildren, Stacey Sasko, Stephanie Bennett, David Capps, Jr., Jacob Capps, Danielle Dick, Amanda Capps and Allison Powers; and his close friends, Brian of Williamsburg, Ruby Adkins of Williamsburg and Mary Ann Hughes of Williamsburg.
