He is survived by: his wife Pam Abernathy; his children, Christy, Joshua (Shawn) and Michael (Kaleigh); his siblings, Carolyn Hayes (Lamar), Lynn Abernathy (Daphne), Kenneth Abernathy (Anna) and Jeffrey Abernathy (Jodie); his grandchildren, Lauren Griffin (Justin), Jon Little, James Little, Morgan Evans (Ethan), Hailey Kellim (Alex), Katy Abernathy, Juliyah Abernathy, Sariyah Abernathy, Eliyah Abernathy, Arianah Abernathy, Micah Abernathy and Josiyah Abernathy; and his great grandchildren, Bethany Griffin and Levi Kellim.
