He was predeceased by: his parents, Kenzie Fryman and Helen Jenkins Fryman; his wife Betty Broyles Fryman; his daughter Sherry Lynn Fryman; and his siblings, Mary Ruth Fryman, Dallas Fryman, Leo Fryman and David Fryman.
He is survived by: his children, James Fryman II of Williamsburg, KY and Kimberly Lockheart of Northern, VA; his grandchildren, Bobby Fuson II, Alex Fuson, Cheyenne Moats, Alexa Daye, Kenzie Fryman, Blake Lockheart and Emma Lockheart; and his brother Doug Fryman of Cincinnati, OH. He is also survived by nine great grandchildren.
